One of the most frequently asked questions we get at Augusta Aesthetics is where did our name come from? Is it Augusta, Georgia or Augusta, Maine? Is it named after the golf course? We even found out that there is an Augusta, Kentucky not too far from us. Augusta is Erin’s middle name, our owner and main nurse practitioner at Augusta Aesthetics. When she was young, Erin felt very shy about her middle name because it was so different. She is now thrilled to have her name represent a brand she is passionate about.
So why is Erin’s middle name Augusta? Erin was named after her great- great-grandmother whose name was Augusta Engle Yaskolka. She was born in Germany on November 28, 1876 and arrived in America at Castle Garden on November 12, 1891 aboard the vessel Moravia. Augusta lived to have 11 children, 28 grandchildren, 88 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Augusta lived to be 101. While visiting her great-grandmother as a teenager, Erin‘s mother, Christine, said to herself, “If I ever have a daughter I am going to name her after great-grandma Augusta.”
At Augusta Aesthetics, we practice a complete wellness approach when treating our patients. We strive to support our patients in achieving their wellness goals to live a happy and healthy life to age 100 and beyond. Come age gracefully with us at Augusta Aesthetics. Come age like great-great-grandma Augusta 😉
